The official website for the upcoming Mazinger Z anime film unveiled a new visual for the film on Thursday. The text in the visual reads, "When the world ends, the demon appears." The film will open in Japan on January 13, 2018. The film will have a world premiere outside Japan, before the Japanese premiere. Some footage from the film debuted at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France in June. Toei Animation describes the completely original story: Humanity was once in danger of its downfall at the hands of the Underground Empire, which was led by the evil scientist Dr. Hell. Hiroyuki Sawano-produced song previewed in video The official website for the television anime of the Jūni Taisen: Zodiac War light novel series announced on Saturday that Do as Infinity is performing the anime's ending theme song "Keshin no Kemono." Hiroyuki Sawano served as sound producer on the song. The website posted a preview of the TV size version of the song in a video with clips from the show. Crunchyroll will simulcast this adaptation of writer NisiOisin (Monogatari Series, Medaka Box) and illustrator Hikaru Nakamura's (Saint Young Men, Arakawa Under the Bridge) light novel Jūni Taisen: Zodiac Warriors. The site also announced new cast members, including Hiroya Ishimaru and Minori Matsushima — the voice of Koji Kabuto and Sayaka Yumi in the original anime — who will voice as-yet unannounced roles. Film opens in Japan in January The official website for the upcoming Gekijōban Mazinger Z / Infinity (Movie Version Mazinger Z: Infinity) anime film announced on Thursday that Kouji Kikkawa (seen left in picture below) will perform the film's ending theme song "The Last Letter." Kikkawa commented that the song was made with the image of a pilot and his robot going beyond their limits and sharing a connection and sorrow. Original Mazinger Z creator Go Nagai said that the song will "make the people who went crazy over Mazinger Z remember the good times."
