How long does nerve pain last after wisdom tooth extraction and when should I see a doctor?
I had my lower wisdom tooth extracted five days ago, and while the swelling has gone down a bit, I still feel a burning sensation near my jaw and some difficulty swallowing. Could this be a normal part of the healing process or is it more likely a nerve injury that needs treatment? At what point does nerve pain become a serious concern that needs medical attention?
