The December issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine is revealing on Saturday that Bandai Namco Entertainment's Dragon Ball FighterZ game will launch in Japan on February 1 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The issue is also revealing more information about the game's story mode. In the story mode, as the mysterious Clone Army invades, the Super Warriors lose consciousness, and their powers. At the same time, the player protagonist becomes mind-linked to Goku. Goku and players must fight together to reveal the mystery behind the link and the Clone Army. The story mode will also have two other stories, where the player protagonist becomes mind-linked to Android 18, and to Frieza.

The issue is also revealing that Nappa and Ginyu will be playable characters.

Bandai Namco Entertainment America began streaming a new character introduction trailer for the game on Tuesday previewing Cell as a playable character.

Bandai Namco Entertainment will release the three-versus-three fighting game on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in the West. Bandai Namco Entertainment America and Europe will release a "CollectorZ Edition" that will include an Goku statue, three art boards, and steelbook packaging. People who pre-order the game in Europe and North America will get an unlock code for Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta, and two lobby avatars.

Bandai Namco Entertainment America describes the game:

Arc System Works delivers an explosive, action-packed game that combines classic 2D fighting with advanced 3D character models that look and feel as if they are ripped straight out of the DRAGON BALL series.

Playable characters include Goku, Teen Gohan, Vegeta, Future Trunks, Freeza, Cell, Krillin, Piccolo, Android 18 (with Android 17), Android 16, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan (with Chiaotzu), and Majin Buu.
