CAPCOM began streaming two introduction videos on Sunday for its release of the Resident Evil Revelations: Unveiled Edition and Resident Evil Revelations 2 games for the Nintendo Switch. The videos preview the stories for both games.
Both games will ship for the Switch in Japan on November 30. Resident Evil Revelations: Unveiled Edition will be available in physical and digital copies, and Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be available digitally only.
Resident Evil Revelations debuted for Nintendo 3DS in 2012 before receiving a port in 2013 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC. CAPCOM also released the game on the PS4 and Xbox One this past August. The company released Resident Evil Revelations 2 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and later PlayStation Vita in 2015.
CAPCOM's Resident Evil survival horror video games series has inspired several live-action films, stage plays, and CG-animated films. The latest game in the series, Resident Evil 7, launched on January 24 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. CAPCOM has shipped more than 3 million copies of the game worldwide.
