The company describes Rave Master:
Sometimes Haru feels like he doesn't have a purpose. He feels like he'll never leave the island he lives on, but when fate comes knocking he answers the cry! With the evil called Dark Bring using the Demon Card power to take over the world, only one thing can stop it: the four missing rave stones. And now, Haru will find them wherever they lie! With the dark side looming, a boy called Haru may be the world's single hope of revitalizing Rave and escaping the clutches of evil. Mashima published the 35-volume manga from 1999-2005. Tokyopop released the first 32 volumes of the manga before it shut down its North American operations in 2011.
