What is death flag?

One day, you are watching an anime series that you are so invested into.

You fall in love with one particular character in the show and this favorite character of yours never fails to bring you joy whenever he/she is on screen.

To you, he/she is the one that carries the entire show.

But just as you think that nothing can separate you two….he/she drop dead in next episode?

Don’t you just hate it when that happen?

After years of experience from watching anime, we have started to realize that we have something special…we have the ability to predict an anime character’s death!

We tried to search on Internet to see if someone also have same super power like us….

After few minutes of Googling, werealized I am just a normal Otaku who has more knowledge about the ‘Death Flag’ 

1. Kamina from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

“Later I’m gonna give you ten times better than this.”

Right after Yoko confess her feeling toward Kamina, he accepts Yoko’s feeling and promised her that he will offer even more love after coming back from the battle.

What kind the death flag does Kamina raise?

► Propose to someone before going to war

► Get seriously wounded and tell your mates you’ll be “fine”

2. Hughes from FMA Brotherhood

“These endless uprisings. The Philosopher's Stone... Human sacrifices... And the outright genocide of the Ishvalan people...

Then this means... How could this even happen, and who could orchestrate something as terrible as this...? I've gotta tell the Fuhrer right away.”

► Discover a major sinister plan, but isn’t the main character from the story

3. Nagisa from Clannad

But soon everything changes. Well, at least it does eventually.”

► Being sick all the time throughout the story.

► Being a cute girl in a visual novel made by Key

► Sudden character development from a side character

► Being in Akame Ga Kill

Damn, characters in Game of Thrones have better career choices than this mess.

5. Conan from Case Closed 

“Dr. Hiroshi, where are we going this time?”

What kind the death flag does Conan raise?

► Everywhere Conan go, there will be dead body.

► If you are not a major character in the series, you have high chance of dying

► Be very mean and obnoxious while Conan is around.

When you see Conan, you know some shit is about to go down XD

6. When a professional assassin says…

When a guy tries to ask a girl to be together after a certain event…

When the character finally has a happy life after all the hardship he/she has been through...

When a character is in a desperate situation and his love one is still waiting for him to come back…

When a mid-age man plans to celebrate his daughter’s birthday before he goes on a mission…

“Tomorrow is my daughter’s birthday(((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o))) !”

When a mid-age soldier shows off his daughter’s photo with someone…
